Secondly, I copied the same
image and rotated it to180 degrees and flipped it horizontally. I then went
into the blending options and adjusted the opacity to really light so that the
image looked like a shadow of the original picture.
Thirdly, I decided to write
out the title of the film poster. To do this, I tried many different fonts that
would look the same as the original one. I wasn’t able to find an exact copy
however, I found the font ‘Abadi MT
Condensed Extra Bold’ that looked quite right. I did this for the entire
four name ‘Meet Stuart, Kevin & Bob’ and
I changed the color to Black. I had to adjust the size for these names as they
were all in different sizes therefore I had to have different layers for
different words.
Fourthly, I had to place the
subheading ‘Illumination Presents’ below the minion image. To do this I found a
look alike of the font in the original picture ‘Arial Rounded MT Bold’. I had
to decrease the size of this and transform it so that the writing was
stretched. I also had to change the color of the font to greyish/greenish. This
wasn’t as difficult as I was able to use the Eyedropper tool to find out what
color was used in the original image.
Next, I moved onto the title
of the film poster, which was ‘Minions’. This was quite a difficult task to do,
as I wasn’t able to find the right font for the title. Due to this, I used the
Rectangle Marquee Tool to copy the title from the original and pasted it onto
the remake. I changed the size of the title and placed it under the
‘Illumination Presents’ heading.
After this, I went onto typing the ‘Summer 2015’
heading where I used the Arial Black font and decreased the size. I had to make
sure that I used caps lock to write this out as this stood out in the original
film poster.
Next, I added the conventions at the bottom of the
film poster, which included ‘In theatres and real 3D, Illumination presents, this
film is not rated, copyright 2015 universal studios and the universal company
logo’. For the logo, I had to search the logo up onto Google and then changed
the overlay color on blending options. I also had to make sure that the size of
the writing wasn’t too big as these were conventions that come at the bottom.
