These are the pictures I have planned to use for both my ancillary tasks. I felt that these were suitable for my ancillary tasks as after researching I found out that most digipak have close-up shots of the artist which allows them to be identified. In addition to this, there is usually a background of the location or a colour residing the whole theme colour. For mines, I felt that I wanted to use the location as this would have gone well with all my pictures that were taken in the park. I wanted to show the significance of the guitar in the artist’s life therefore I took a close-up shot of this to show the meaning behind it. Moreover, I wanted the artist to be in different poses in the location which can reflect and give a hint about the album that is coming out.

Photography Plan for Ancillary Tasks
I personally believe that having a photography plan for our ancillary tasks was beneficial. The photography plan had helped to recognize what type of photos could possibly be used within the ancillary tasks. Below are some of the photos I had taken as part of my photography plan, along with some pictures which I will be using for my digipak and magazine advert.

Album Cover Ideas
Humans are a very visual species, utilising around 80% through eyesight. The eye reacts extremely quickly to movement, and as such, an appealing looking CD/digipak cover pleases the eye. We want to create a connection between the digipak and the audience in order for our digipaks to become successful. Underneath are some ideas that I believe suit our own digipak cover idea, and extra content ideas:
I enjoy these digipak/CD covers because of their high contrast, making it very easy and appealing to look at, while looking at the purity and natural beauty of the human face, while also showing imperfections. The portraits range from mid-shot to mid close-ups, focusing on the person's emotions
Extra Content:
- Because our music video is a story about the suffering the girl goes through with the heartbreak, perhaps the digipak will include a booklet with pictures, maybe drawings of a stick person getting heartbroken.
- A sheet containing lyrics to the songs.

Rought Cut Feedback - Teacher
After our rough cut, we wanted feedback regarding how we could improve and develop our music video. For this, we sat the teacher down and asked him to look at the whole music video once, after he did this, he looked back at it once again and told us what we did well in and what we could have improved on.
The things that we did good during the process of production was having a variety of shots that engaged the audience into watching it as it seemed all continuous. In addition to this, the lip-sync by the actor was done really well as well as the acting of the female actor. We had a local location, however this went will with our genre and narrative as we usually see a local location in a pop genre.
The things that we could improve on for next time was the colour of the shots. Some of the shots were a bit too blue as we forgot to change the white balance and sometimes it got a bit too dark early which made the shots dark and unclear. Furthermore, we were told to use a steady cam which could benefit us when we do the tracking shot as we found it difficult to walk bakckwards due to the shakiness. A really big improvement that we were given was to add metaphor to our music video as the narrative wasn't as straightforward and we didn't want to narrate the whole narrative with lyrics. Due to this, we were told to have atleast 2 to 3 metaphors which could symbolise cheating or something that was going to happen between the couple. This interests the audience as well as gives the music video a big touch in development.
With these improvements in mind, we planned out what sort of metaphors we were going to use and when. Planning this out beforehand helped us save time during the process of shooting it as we exactly knew when we had to shoot the shot. In addition to this, the improvement based on the lighting of the shots was also taken into consideration. We felt that we could improve the lighting a tiny bit as our main aim of this was to portay a sign of negativity and upsetting mood as these shots were towards the end after the cheating.
